I am currently operating in the Tynedale area weekdays with a few school contracts in the Prudhoe and Hexham areas so it makes sense to apply for a Tynedale taxi badge and get my wheelchair minibus Tynedale plated to allow me to work Hexham taxi rank in between the local schools starting and finishing. I will of course still have the Skoda Octavia plated in Blyth Valley and this will still remain my main area of work. There is currently not usually a high demand for taxis in the Cramlington area during weekdays.
It has been very interesting learning the Tynedale badge locality test as the area is steeped in rich history, I have visited many places learning the area including Kielder Water and Forest Park and along the many Roman forts along Hadrian's wall including Chesters, Housesteads, Vindolanda and the Roman Army Museum. These places are very popular with tourists.
There are of course many places of interest, I particularly enjoy visiting Steel Rigg/ and Sycamore Gap, The birthplace of George Stephenson which is in Wylam, North bank of the River Tyne, Slaley Hall and Matfen Hall.
